Terms of Use

Last updated: May 18, 2026. These terms apply to the Mechapiens website, AIGovXRay scan request flows, and related report services.

Contracting entity

The service is provided by VANDOULAS IOANNIS SINGLE MEMBER P.C., trading under the distinctive title MECHAPIENS, registered with the Greek General Commercial Registry (GEMI) under number 193339258000.

Registered seat: Nippos Apokoronou 0, 73007 Vrysses, Chania, Crete, Greece.

Acceptance of these terms

By submitting a website scan request, deep scan request, or evidence pack through AIGovXRay, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.

If you submit a request on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Service scope

Mechapiens provides AI governance and forensic inspection services, including AIGovXRay website scans and deep scan reports based on user-submitted evidence.

Reports are technical and governance-oriented inspection outputs. They are not legal advice, compliance certification, security certification, audit attestation, or a guarantee that a system is lawful, secure, or free from risk.

The current public AIGovXRay scan request flow is offered without charge. Paid services, custom assessments, enterprise reviews, or continuing engagements are governed by separate written agreements.

Authorized submissions only

You may submit a website URL or evidence pack only if you have authority to request inspection of the relevant website, system, organization, or evidence.

You must not submit material that violates confidentiality duties, third-party rights, employment obligations, export rules, or applicable law.

Evidence pack rules

Deep scan evidence packs should be submitted as ZIP files and should contain only information needed for report generation.

Do not intentionally include unnecessary personal data, credentials, secrets, private keys, access tokens, production databases, payment card data, health data, or other highly sensitive material.

Mechapiens may reject or delete evidence packs that appear excessive, unsafe, unrelated to the requested scan, or outside the intended scope of the service.

Submitted evidence and report rights

The requester retains all rights in submitted evidence. The requester grants Mechapiens a limited license to receive, inspect, process, reproduce, and transform submitted evidence solely for evaluating the request, generating the report, communicating with the requester, and protecting the service.

Mechapiens retains all intellectual property rights in the AIGovXRay methodology, software, templates, report structure, analytical methods, and underlying know-how.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the requester receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the delivered report internally and to share it with auditors, regulators, advisors, insurers, investors, counterparties, or customers for governance, assurance, diligence, and risk-management purposes.

Public publication of a report, substantial excerpt, benchmark claim, or Mechapiens branding requires prior written approval from Mechapiens.

Zero-retain operating model

The AIGovXRay workflow is designed to minimize retention. Deep scan evidence is intended to be used for report generation and deleted after processing, subject to operational, security, legal, or dispute-related exceptions.

The requester is responsible for keeping any report, continuity capsule, or surveillance history they wish to preserve.

No misuse

You must not use the service to scan systems you are not authorized to assess, submit malicious files, disrupt the service, attempt to extract infrastructure details, or use findings for unlawful activity.

Confidentiality

Mechapiens treats submitted evidence and generated reports as confidential to the requesting party, except where disclosure is required by law, needed to protect security or rights, or authorized by the requester.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or completeness.

Mechapiens does not warrant that a scan will identify every risk, vulnerability, governance gap, regulatory issue, or operational weakness.

Limitations of liability

AIGovXRay outputs depend on the information available at the time of the scan. Missing, incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated evidence may affect findings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mechapiens is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or business-interruption damages arising from use of the service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mechapiens' total aggregate liability for claims arising from or relating to the public scan request flow will not exceed the greater of EUR 100 or the fees paid to Mechapiens by the requester for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim.

Indemnification

The requester will indemnify and hold Mechapiens harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from unauthorized submissions, submitted evidence that infringes third-party rights or confidentiality obligations, misuse of the service, or breach of these terms.

Suspension and termination

Mechapiens may reject, suspend, or terminate any request or access to the service where it reasonably believes the request is unauthorized, abusive, unlawful, unsafe, excessive, or inconsistent with these terms.

The requester may stop using the public request flow at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including confidentiality, IP rights, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law, will survive.

Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy explains how Mechapiens handles personal data and submitted materials. It forms part of the overall terms governing the public scan request flow.

Force majeure

Mechapiens is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages, cyber incidents, provider failures, labor disputes, natural events, war, government action, or network interruptions.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect and the invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced to best reflect the original intent.

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any separate written agreement, constitute the entire agreement for the public scan request flow.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the courts of Chania, Greece will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the public scan request flow.
